I am happy to announce that Diane Raj will be the new Director of Finance and Administration for the BSS Administrative Core. Diane will begin her role on November 1st.

As you are all aware, Leslie Strolla, the current Director, announced that she will retire in February. And we are grateful that there will be a few months to ensure a smooth transition.

Diane comes to us with 11 years of service at Brown, having most recently served as the Department Manager for the Bio-Med Molecular, Microbiology & Immunology Department. In this role, Diane oversaw the department's operational and administrative services and managed space-related issues (space allocation, maintenance, security, and relocations).

Diane began her journey at Brown in 2012, where she started as an Administrative Coordinator in theDepartment of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry. She continued with the department for nine years and departed as the Manager of Finance and Administration. During her time with the department, she providedhigh-level budgetary and financial planning and analysis, research administration, management of the department, center, and program accounts, and financial planning support to the department manager and chair.

Diane holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Western Governors University in Utah.
